    ODESSA – The Fire Department will host its annual July 4 barbecue at the community center this year, with service from a drive-up window in order to comply with Covid-19 guidelines, according to Rural Fire Chief Roger Sebesta. Meals will be pre-packaged ahead of time to speed up the delivery process. There will be no special orders. Patrons can then take their meals home or maintain social distancing wherever they choose.     ODESSA – The municipal pool will open for the summer season this coming Sunday, Father’s Day, June 21, from 1-5 p.m. The pool manager this year is Mya Boss, with assistant manager Natosha Boss. Their fellow lifeguards are Katreace Boss, Tori Schlommer, Kaitlyn Zagelow, Laela Hardung, Kaylee McKinney, Kaytlyn Shafer and Alyssa Iverson.     ODESSA — Odessa High School ag teacher and FFA adviser HaLee Walter applied for an FFA Foundation CASE grant this spring to buy all sorts of new equipment for the school’s agriculture education shop.     ODESSA — Last Wednesday was another celebration for the Odessa High School senior class, as the students rode various vehicles down First Avenue after visiting the medical campus and waving to the patients and residents.
