It’s not the news we wanted to hear (especially for resident pyrotechnics inclined to drop $1,000-plus on patriotic explosions), but this year, it’s the right call. Rev. Pierce Chadburn, Zion-Emmanuel Lutheran Church|Updated Jul 1, 2021

Note: This is a sermon from Sunday, June 6, 2021, and is slightly adapted from the original. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! Today's Gospel (Luke 16:19-31) is the story of the rich man and Lazarus. I say story because it is not called a parable and is quite possibly a history.
