Seattle-First National bought Odessa bank in 1951

Fifty years ago this week, The Record announced that the Seattle-First National Bank had bought the Odessa State Bank.

Seattle-First National later became known as Seafirst Bank and today is the Bank of America.

This report was the top story in the issue of May 17, 1951:

The Seattle-First National Bank of Seattle has purchased the Odessa State bank, Samuel A. Kimbrough, of Spokane, Seattle First National vice president announced.
