Auxiliary's sale raises funds for improving quality of life

Odessa Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary members will hold their annual pie sale at Christmas Fest, December 5, in the Community Center. This is an important fundraising event for the Auxiliary, in their endeavor to make the health-care campus a home for all who seek medical and respite care at the facility.

The Auxiliary has recently paid for an additional cable TV box that ensures access to the channels residents and patients want most. Currently the Auxiliary is raising funds to pay for new, comfortable, wheelchair-friendly flooring in the Clinic and for the planned purchase of a heavy-duty kitchen mixer for the Quail Court Assisted Living facility.

Donations of all types of fruit pies for the sale would be most welcome. They may be brought to the community center the day of Christmas Fest. German cookbooks, wrapped for Christmas, and other gift items will be for sale as well. A winter-themed wall hanging will be raffled that day. Contact Joyce McClanahan at 982-0144 for further information.
