Boys JV season ends with much improved team play

The Titan JV finished the season with a 13-3 record. Several players “started shooting the ball from the outside,” said coach Larry Weber. They also did a “better job finishing when we would drive to the basket,” he said. “The whole team improved tremendously through the course of the season.”

O-H vs. Wellpinit

The final season games of the boys junior varsity were played on Januayr 25, 26 and 29, with the Titans getting all three wins. The Titans defeated Wellpinit by a score of 72-49.

Shane Whitaker and Carsen Weber led the scoring with 26 and 23 points, respectively. Nick Tebow had 10 points, Dakota Largent 8 and Joey Buell 5. Dylan Shockley and James Smith also saw playing time but did not score.

O-H vs. Wilbur-Creston

Against the Wildcats JV, the Titans won, 55-42. Carsen Weber was hot throughout the game. He was especially deadly from 3-point range in the third quarter when he pumped in four, plus a two-point bucket that made him responsible for all 19 points made that quarter.

Whitaker had 14 points and Justin Hauge and Tebow had 6 each to round out the scoring. Shockley, Largent, Buell and Smith went scoreless but played hard.

O-H vs. ACH

Playing ACH in Harrington on January 29, the Titan JV squad also hammered the ACH team 66-36. Whitaker led the scoring with 20, followed by Weber with 19. Hauge had 10, Largent 8, Tebow 7 and Buell 2. Smith also played but did not score.
