INCIDENT LOG

Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, June 3: A vehicle collided with a load of peat moss dropped from a truck-trailer onto SR 2 east of Davenport, leaving behind "a large mess in the roadway." East of Reardan, a bag of seed was spotted in the middle of SR 2's eastbound lane.

Davenport firefighters and Avista personnel responded to a report that a 2-inch natural gas line in the 1000 block of Morgan Street had been hit while digging was occurring in that area.

Dispatchers were advised of a rental unit in the 100 block of South Third Street in Harrington where trash, animal feces and cigarette burns in carpet were discovered after its occupant moved out.

A man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct during an incident at a Harrington residence that included alcohol, yelling and screaming. After arriving at the jail, he reportedly pulled out large portions of his hair from the top of his head and flushed it down a toilet.

Wilbur Police responded to a report of an incident involving two boys in the town park; one pushed the other after the latter offered an obscene gesture.

Tuesday, June 4: Reardan High School personnel requested ambulance transport to Lincoln Hospital for a 17-year-old student reportedly suffering an anxiety attack.

A 20-year-old Reardan man was taken to a Spokane hospital after apparently suffering a knee injury when the vehicle he was driving struck a guardrail on SR 2 just inside the eastern Lincoln County line. A responding deputy was told that the man had swerved to miss a deer.

Six road signs valued at $100 each were removed from the area of Cloverdale Road currently being reconditioned by Lincoln County Public Works crews. Additionally, five signs were taken from Logan and Horlacher roads as well.

Currency was taken from a pop machine at the AgLink, Inc., Almira branch, that had been broken into.

Deputies investigated a narcotics incident in the Davenport area.

Three individuals on neighboring property reported they had been sprayed by a crop dusting plane working a field adjacent to Knack Road.

Two people were injured as a result of a rollover collision on SR 2 about two miles east of Almira.

Wednesday, June 5: Two residents of the 1000 block of Adams Street in Davenport reported the theft of a cat.

A Lincoln woman was treated at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport after she was allegedly punched in the face by a man who later was arrested by deputies for domestic violence assault.

A truck left Redwine Canyon Road and ended up in a ditch.

A Ford resident reported the theft of a silver van from property along Woods Lane East. Keys were left in the van, which had a full tank of gas. A later report noted a possible sighting with a driver described as "possibly high on unknown drugs."

A caller reported kids riding dirt bikes without permission in fields near Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport.

A collision involving a car and deer was reported on SR 2 near Davenport.

Wilbur Police investigated the unauthorized use of a debit card to purchase items online.

Thursday, June 6: Dispatchers took a report of an intoxicated man who injured his head after jumping from a moving U-Haul truck in the 200 block of NW Cliff in Wilbur.

Deputies responded to a possible burglary incident at a residence on Bluestem Road.

A deputy stopped a blue minivan outside Davenport Family Foods after taking a report that the vehicle may have been nearly involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck on SR 2 west of Oehlwein Road.

Grand Coulee ambulance personnel assisted a man who was found laying on the ground just east of the Lakeview Terrace Mobile Home Park entrance.

Friday, June 7: A deputy contacted an individual who was causing noise by continuously revving up his pickup motor near the skate park in Creston.

A deputy stopped two vehicles traveling with a large group of Porsches bound for Idaho and allegedly making bad passes at high speeds on SR 2 between Davenport and Reardan.

Davenport firefighters responded to a stubble and tractor fire in a field west of Davenport near the intersection of SR 2 and Fitzpatrick Road.

Wilbur Police investigated a report of someone putting a flag in the door of a local store, making it so a woman inside could not get out.

Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted a 91-year-old woman who possibly suffered a heart attack.

Odessa Police responded to the theft of a bicycle from the 300 block of South Alder.

Reardan Police investigated a possible road rage incident involving two motorcycles.

Saturday, June 8: A woman was taken into custody after deputies responded to a domestic dispute between a husband and wife at a residence on Gunning Road North near Davenport.

Deputies arrested a man for allegedly driving while under the influence after a vehicle described as having driven all over the roadway was stopped at the Old Sunset Highway and Mondovi Road.

A caller advised that a gate had been damaged at the north end of Bald Ridge Road.

An individual was taken into custody for domestic assault after an incident at a residence on East Merriam Street in Davenport.

Deputies investigated a sex offense incident in the Davenport area.

Several juveniles were believed to have thrown rocks into the Davenport public pool.

After a caller's report, a deputy determined that taillights and conversation after dark on the Harrington golf course turned out to be in connection with a "night golf with glow-in-the-dark balls" event there.

Odessa Police investigated damage to a fence in the 300 block of South Birch.

Odessa emergency responders assisted a 19-year-old woman who may have suffered a seizure in the 300 block of West 4th Avenue.

Sunday, June 9: After hearing a knock on his window, an Odessa area resident reported a prowler on Peterson Mende Road East.

Someone backed over three county road signs in the vicinity of Level Road near Mondovi.

Two small breed dogs appeared to have been abandoned at the Mondovi cemetery.

A woman reported siphoning of a vehicle's gas tank in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street in Davenport. She estimated that three-quarters of a tank (about $50 worth) was taken.

A man with a backpack, found taking a nap in a ditch, with his head on the fog line of SR 2 near Davenport, was advised by a deputy to be more careful.

A caller expressed concern after finding "military property" at a yard sale outside a Sprague residence near the intersection of 1st and B streets.

Odessa firefighters responded to what was reported as a possible small electric fire at Odessa High School.

National Park Service officers handled a call involving a disabled boat that was beached on Lake Roosevelt downstream from Keller.

Juvenile Offender Disposition

A deferred disposition ordered for a 16-year-old Davenport boy who pleaded guilty May 14 to possessing a dangerous weapon (a knife) at Davenport High School on March 15 includes 30 hours community service and a prohibition against possessing firearms. The knife was one three found, along with e-cigarettes, flavored nicotine drops and clear bottles thought to have contained alcohol, in the aftermath of an incident that involved three students, all of whom were suspended from school.

Michael Lee Hileman, 38, address unknown, is charged with first-degree child molestation in connection with the Sept. 30, 2012, "inappropriate touching" of a 6-year-old girl in the Davenport area.

Trevor David Manson, 25, of Spokane, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture and/or deliver marijuana in connection with a May 23 traffic stop by the Washington State Patrol on I-90 in Lincoln County. After a "drug dog" detected possible evidence, a search of the suspect vehicle turned up about a pound of marijuana and equipment used in a grow operation.
