Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, Nov. 4: Shortly after the owner of llamas in the Redwine Canyon area reported them missing, a man called in to report that he found llamas in a field across from his home on Nelson Road East.

A motorist traveling on I-90 near Sprague reported hitting a black cow.

Personnel at the reopened Exxon station in Davenport reported someone drove away without paying for $50 worth of fuel. Stopped in Wilbur, the man explained it was a misunderstanding and promised to return to Davenport and clear the debt.

Odessa Police investigated a report that a man was trespassing and knocking on the front door to a residence in the 100 block of West May.

Tuesday, Nov. 5: A one-vehicle rollover collision took place at SR 28 and Spinning Road, with the driver, a Harrington resident, making the 911 call while hanging upside down inside. Davenport ambulance personnel assisted him after he said he felt lower back pain.

A semi-truck got stuck while being driven uphill on SR 25 about 20 miles north of Davenport. A sand truck was dispatched.

A Davenport woman reported two unauthorized charges on a debit card that was used to purchase gas in Florida. In a separate incident involving a Davenport resident, fraudulent charges were reported in Illinois. A third report involved a Creston man.

No injuries were reported as a result of a one-vehicle rollover collision on Omans Road North near Davenport.

A second report of credit card fraud that may be linked to the sudden closure and subsequent theft charges filed against the manager of the Davenport Food Mart was filed.

Wilbur Police investigated a cut lock on a local storage unit and the theft of about 10 gallons of gas from a vehicle parked outside a residence.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: An Edwall area resident reported a suspicious vehicle whose occupant got out and yelled that he was lost. The vehicle left when the residents allowed their dogs out of the house.

A Lincoln resident was arrested after he bit a deputy and spit in another's face while they responded to a report of a man experiencing hallucinations and making threats at a residence on Skyview Lane. The man was taken to jail while the deputies got checked out at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A Davenport man who was burning piles of debris "well after dark" was advised that such activity should be confined to daylight hours.

A Davenport woman was cited for not having a city license for her dog.

A Davenport woman reported credit card fraud. Deputies handled two other similar cases, also involving Davenport residents. One reported an unauthorized charge for $110.18 occurred in Pennsylvania.

A woman reported damage inside a residence in the 300 block of North First Street in Harrington.

An electrical outlet caught fire inside a rental unit in the 100 block of NW Division in Wilbur. A fire extinguisher was used to put it out.

Reardan Police dealt with a "disruptive female student" at the high school.

Thursday, Nov. 7: An abandoned car with damage to the driver's side window and mirror was found near Old Sprague Highway and Fishtrap Road with its keys inside. Responding deputies believe it was involved in a collision.

A Davenport woman reported unauthorized use of her debit card with charges totaling about $240. In a separate report, a Davenport man said his credit card was used for a $550 purchase in Miami, Fla.

An Almira man reported six firearms stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Childers Road.

A man reported cattle in a haystack near Egypt Loop and Hume roads north of Davenport.

An employee at an Odessa business told police that someone grabbed her and tried to kiss her.

Odessa Police were asked to remove an unwanted person from a residence in the 100 block of West Main.

Friday, Nov. 8: A caller reported an illegal dumping of garbage on private property at Cloverdale and Waukon roads.

Owners of property on Bachelor Flats Drive and Bobcat Trail reported several locks had been cut off from access gates in those areas. A vehicle with CenturyTel decals may be a common link.

Wilbur Police investigated a possible burglary and vehicle prowling incident in the 400 block of SE College Avenue. An X-box was reported missing.

Odessa Police assisted emergency personnel with a possibly suicidal man at a residence in the 200 block of North Birch who was taken first to the local hospital and then to Spokane by ambulance.

Saturday, Nov. 9: Odessa ambulance personnel were sent to help a man who was unable to stop vomiting.

Wilbur ambulance personnel helped a man who fell and possibly broke an arm at a Jasmine Drive residence.

A Davenport area woman told dispatchers she fell asleep while on her way to work and her car went into a ditch at Teel Hill and Old Hughes roads.

A Davenport woman reported three fraudulent charges were placed in Pennsylvania on her credit card.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault in the 300 block of Adams Street in Davenport. The parties involved claimed the report had been "blown out of proportion" and that "everyone was fine."

An occupant of a pickup truck that went off the roadway at Davis and Johnson roads near Odessa threw a beer bottle from the window. A man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. The truck's front bumper was damaged and a front tire blew out.

A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on SR 28 about a mile east of Odessa.

Reardan Police investigated a report of credit card fraud and identity theft involving a local woman who noticed unauthorized charges from Florida and Midwestern states.

National Park Service rangers dealt with a narcotics incident involving two men in the Hawk Creek area.

Sunday, Nov. 10: Davenport ambulance personnel assisted an 82-year-old man who had fainted at a residence in the 300 block of Adams Street.

A woman told dispatchers about a suspicious vehicle that had followed her to work.

Still another incident of credit card fraud involving Davenport area residents was reported.

Nov. 6: Vern L. Eggerud, 52, Creston, arrested by LCSO for first-degree burglary and first-degree assault (2 counts).

Steven L. DeLeon, 36, transient, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while under the influence.

New Juvenile Offender Case

A 17-year-old Seven Bays boy is charged with fourth-degree assault in connection with an Oct. 26 incident in which his grandfather suffered a broken nose at their residence. According to the court record, the victim was punched several times in the face with a closed fist after a verbal argument accelerated into mutual pushing. At one point, according to the allegations, the boy spit on the older man.
