New Harrington Elementary principal Justin Bradford reads to the kindergarten/first-grade class.
Two books written by Harrington author David Michaelson have been nominated for awards. One of them, "The Adventures of Gopher Piddington" has also been placed at the top of the summer recommended reading list of the Military Writer's Society of America.
The other book nominated for an award is "Congressional Integrity," a satirical spoof of the U.S. Congress.
Medals will be awarded to the winning books during the 2014 national convention to be held in Phoenix, Ariz. at the end of September. Several of Michaelson's books have received awards in recent years....
