Junior-high football team record 2-1 so far this year

The Odessa-Harrington junior-high football team, coached by Larry Weber of Odessa and LaMar Larmer of Harrington started off its season with two wins, defeating Inchelium 51-0 and Springdale 25-12. Their only loss so far was to Almira-Coulee/Hartline, 7-32.

Seventh-graders on the team are Marcus King, Josh Clark, Kenadie Elder, Jordan Ford, Jaden Hunt, Eric Johnston, Kameron Martin, Ben Melgren, Jakob Starkel, Brady Walter and Camden Weber. Eighth-graders are Lane Lobe, Daniel Nelson and Theron Schlomer.

Since there was no junior-high football last year, the team has gotten off to a slow start. Coach Weber says the kids are still learning what it means to be a football player but have been making improvements all season

"We are quite a bit smaller than all the teams we have played but make up for it with speed and effort," said Weber. "We will continue to work on execution and discipline both offensively and defensively.
