Historic donation to Harrington Library
Harrington Public Library recently received six CDs from Georgia Dover of Eagle Point, Ore. containing interviews with her father, the late Frank Gateley, taped in 1984. On the first CD, Dover asks her father questions about their family, where the grandparents came from, when they arrived in Harrington and what lands that they obtained in Lord’s Valley near Harrington. He shares his recollections, and his personality shines through in this oral history. Several local family histories have been written and donated to the library.
