Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, Nov. 16: Dispatchers referred a possible poaching incident in the vicinity of Addington Road near Reardan to the Washington State Patrol for investigation.

Responding to the 1000 block of Washington Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted an 18-year-old woman suffering a headache.

A semi-truck rolled onto its side and blocked both eastbound lanes on Interstate 90 near Sprague. Local firefighters and emergency personnel also responded to several rear-end collisions that followed.

Responding to property adjacent to Cline Road northeast of Davenport, deputies attempted to check the welfare of a man after a friend told dispatchers he might hurt himself.

An occupant of a passenger vehicle headed east on SR 2 near Davenport was observed throwing a beer can from the window.

A caller reported hearing a man screaming near the entrance of the Harrington Golf and Country Club.

Deputies investigated a possible child abuse incident in the Davenport area.

Wilbur Police took a report from a woman claiming to have been harassed.

Tuesday, Nov. 17: As a result of the big windstorm that struck Eastern Washington on this day, several reports of downed trees, several coming to rest on power lines, were responded to by local law enforcement and crews from Avista Utilities and Inland Power and Light Co.

On Fourth Street between Main and Maxwell in Davenport, several trees were leaning against power lines. A falling tree from the 900 block of Marshall Street in Davenport crashed into power lines and a garage in the 700 block of Ninth. A down power line was sparking in the vicinity of Thirteenth and Jefferson streets in Davenport.

Power lines were in the trees and sparking in the 400 block of SW College in Wilbur. Elsewhere, trees also were reported down on Division and May, Cliff Road, NW Alder and SE Pope.

A caller observed a transformer arcing and sparking at Euclid Road and SR 231 north of Reardan. Tumbleweeds blowing across roadways were a problem on SR 231.

A caller reported a possible trespassing incident on property adjacent to Plum Point East in the Sunny Hills area east of Grand Coulee.

A United Parcel Service driver reported a “hostile customer” had threatened him while he worked the Edwall area.

Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in the 1200 block of Eighth Street in Davenport. A woman’s diamond bracelet was reported missing. Subsequent investigation determined the report was unfounded.

Responding to a burglary incident at the Alibi Tavern, Wilbur Police arrested a woman on forgery charges.

Wednesday, Nov. 18: A tree was reported down on Waukon and Fancher roads east of Reardan.

A Creston woman advised her horse ran away during the previous night.

Responding to the 500 block of Seventh Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a man on oxygen experiencing chest pain.

A Sprague woman reported she was the focus of recent harassment.

An Odessa man reported his truck was taken without his permission from property adjacent to Duck Lake Road North.

Thursday, Nov. 19: A power outage resulted in the closure of the Sprague schools.

Responding to Quail Court, Odessa ambulance personnel transported a 90-year-old woman with chest pains to the local hospital.

An Edwall woman reported that someone pulled a meter from a power pole adjacent to Rockdale Road.

An “aggressive” German shepherd dog was loose in the 300 block of Ninth Street in Davenport. A deputy apprehended it and took it to the local dog pound.

A vehicle struck a five-gallon bucket filled with cement and a car battery left by someone in the middle of the 900 block of Twelfth Street in Davenport. The battery “exploded” and spilled acid on the roadway, requiring a state Department of Transportation crew for cleanup.

A man reported missing from a residence on Crick Road North in the Wilbur area subsequently returned home, but not before a deputy began a search for him.

An Odessa woman reported dogs had killed two goats and severely injured another on property adjacent to SR 21.

A caller reported a “suspicious” man running around the car wash in the 200 block of SW Main in Wilbur.

Odessa Police investigated threatening texts a woman reported receiving.

Friday, Nov. 20: A Davenport woman became suspicious after learning that someone deposited a fraudulent $400 check into her juvenile daughter’s account at a local bank and then withdrew $180.

No one was injured as a result of two vehicles colliding on Mondovi Road east of Davenport, but both were considered not able to be driven and had to be towed to repair shops.

Two deputies responded to a verbal dispute between individuals on Marshall Street between Fourth and Nicholls in Davenport.

Odessa ambulance personnel assisted an elderly woman who fell outside the local post office.

Odessa Police checked out a report that a woman had placed signs on downtown buildings indicating how upset she was that an Avon saleswoman had refused to sell her products.

Saturday, Nov. 21: Responding to the 500 block of SW Regent, Wilbur ambulance personnel transported a woman who suffered a knee injury in a fall to Coulee Community Hospital.

Sprague emergency personnel responded to a report of a woman with a possible concussion waiting at the eastbound Interstate 90 rest area.

Two people and three dogs were evacuated from a house on fire in the 100 block of South E Street in Sprague, believed caused by a wood stove.

The owner of land adjacent to Naff Road near Davenport reported someone is continuously driving through winter wheat fields and causing a lot of damage.

Odessa Police determined a report that two men claiming to be home inspectors were responsible for taking binoculars from a residence on East 5th was unfounded.

Sunday, Nov. 22: A caller reported that three boys in their late teens were keeping younger kids from playing on equipment in the Davenport city park.
