OH Titan girls win both weekend league games

The long road trip for the league game against Curlew paid off last Friday, as the Titan girls basketball team beat the Cougars 41-21.

The girls started strong, outscoring Curlew by 12 points in the first quarter and ending the half with a 19-point lead.

Helping pave the way to victory was Katie DeWulf with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and five steals. Maleah Davison had eight points of her own, also adding three rebounds and a steal. Lanessa Simon scored seven points, five rebounds and four assists, along with nine steals. Amber Smith had six points, three rebounds and a steal. Casey Schlomer, Kassidy Crossley and Brenna Carstensen had two points each. Schlomer was also credited with five rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Crossley had four rebounds and Carstensen had an assist.

On Saturday, the ladies took on the Northport Mustangs at home in Odessa for the win by a score of 40-32.

Davison accomplished a “double double” (two sets of stats in double figures), with 13 total points and 11 rebounds. DeWulf had nine points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals. Simon had eight points for the night and also four rebounds, four assists and five steals. Schlomer scored six points and had five rebounds and three steals. Smith and Carstensen each had two points, a rebound, and an assist. Smith also had one steal.
