Theater stages a night of one-act comedies

Comedy comes multiplied by three as Them Three opens at the Masquers Theater this Friday, February 12, 2016.

Jeff Ames, Adam Zaleski, and Justin Rowland, three of Masquers’ experts in the art of funny, each direct one of three one-act plays starring Mistya Beyer, Joanne Bracht, Andrew Covarrubias, Christaphor Longstreet and Nick Mahaney; with Cynthia Beyer, Randy Brooks, Rosalee Chamberlain, Theresa Freeman, and Joey Hernandez.

A Window Ajar, is an original play written and directed by Jeff Ames. Burglars, bank robbers, botched party invitations, booze, rodents and a mother-in-law who would scare Freddy Krueger add up to the most farcial party every thrown, all because someone left A Window Ajar.

Super Heroes Support Group, written by D. M. Larsen and directed by Adam Zaleski, follows some troubled super heroes who seek help from an unscrupulous doctor to deal with the stress of handling all the world’s evils.

Cheating Death, written by Kamron Klitgaard and directed by Justin Rowland (assisted by Heather Rhoades), shows what happens when the patients of a mental hospital give the Grim Reaper a dose of their own therapy.

Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., February 12 through February 28.
