Noreen Groh honored for her positive attitude

A niece of former Odessa resident Noreen Groh submitted a story of recognition Groh received recently at Touchmark on South Hill Retirement Community in Spokane. She was honored as Resident of the Month for June 2016 by the Resident Council, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the quality of life at Touchmark.

At a ceremony announcing the honor, council vice president Don Rice described her outgoing nature and friendly, warm, welcoming smile as having added to the quality of life for the residents. Her positive attitude and lively, enthusiastic interactions during social events has added to the satisfaction and enjoyment of other participants, he said. The council thanked her for helping enrich the quality of life for the community. She responded humbly and graciously, expressing her thanks and for being blessed to have such a wonderful place to live with so many wonderful people.

She may not be living in the Odessa community any more, but she reminisces and speaks of it often, her niece said, thinking that sharing the story would be of interest to many of Groh's friends back home. She is doing well, is very healthy and happy and would love to entertain visitors.
