Town of Wilson Creek awarded FCS rural grant

SPOKANE, Wash. (August 26, 2016) – Northwest Farm Credit Services is proud to award the Town of Wilson Creek in Washington, a $1,000 Rural Community Grant.

"We thank Northwest Farm Credit Services for giving us this grant, which will be used for improvements to our only softball field," said Susan James, Town Clerk. "We plan to improve the infield and purchase materials to keep it properly maintained for the enjoyment of the people in our community."

The company is committed to helping rural communities succeed. During the first two rural grant cycles of 2016, more than $191,000 was awarded. Since the program's inception in 2007, the company has presented 587 rural grants totaling more than $1,138,050.
