Cedar Park Christian

The O-H Titan boys defeated Cedar Park Christian Friday evening in a regional playoff game at Mountlake Terrace High School on the west side of the state. The Titans won, 70-65, as Jayd Jennings came off the bench in the second half and, along with teammates Jaden Hunt and Joshua Clark, was able “to light a spark, get us back in the game and take the lead,” said head coach Travis Schuh. “He [Jennings] made three crucial 3-point shots in the fourth quarter to help pull us away with the win.”

Team scoring was balanced as Jennings led with 17 points, followed by Ryan Moffet with 14, Colton Hunt with 11, Camden Weber 9, Marcus King 8, John DeWulf 7 and Jaden Hunt and Joshua Clark 2 each. DeWulf and C. Hunt led the rebounding effort with 6 each.

Schuh said “Cedar Park Christian played a triangle and two and put a lot of defensive pressure on Ryan and Camden, which meant that our other guys on the team needed to step up and make some shots. Camden Weber hit three free throws at the end of the game to seal the win.”

Wednesday, the Titans play Chief Kitsap Academy which lost to Sunnyside Christian Saturday by a score of 80-31. Assistant coaches Larry Weber and Larry Moffet attended the game and reported to Schuh, “They have a lot of older, more developed players, but are very beatable. If we can make stops and get balanced scoring from our team, we’ll come out with a win.”
