Olga Viola Kassner-Byers

Aug. 21, 1916 – March 8, 2023

Olga Viola Kassner-Byers was born in Hartington, Neb., Aug. 21,

1916 to Julius and Antoinette Grindvold. She passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023 in Spokane Valley, Wash. at the age of 106 1/2.

She and her family moved to Circle, Mont., where she met and married her husband Don Kassner in 1940, moving to Tacoma, Wash. where they had 2 daughters, Donna and Dorothy. In 1947 they moved to Davenport, Wash. where she lived until 2012, then moving to Spokane Valley, Wash. until she passed at Evergreen Fountains.

She and both of her husbands wintered in Sun City West, Ariz. for many years, where she was honored for being the oldest active bowler before moving to Spokane valley. She was a long time member of both Zion and Christ (Egypt) Lutheran Church's in Davenport, Wash.

She is survived by daughters Donna, and Dorothy (Bob), her sister Rosalie, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her second husband Tut, her sisters Borghild, Mabel, Alma, Eileen, and her brother Wayne; her parents Julius, Antoinette, and step mom Marie.
