The Odessa High School FBLA chapter's American Enterprise Team, with the help of the school's eighth-grade class, put on a Retail Revolution fair this week. Third- through twelfth-grade students took part in fun activities. Sheriff Wade Magers introduces Marine 1 to our marine fleet. We were fortunate enough to acquire a new 23-foot vessel made by Life Proof Boat. To the Editor: I really enjoyed the family movie night at the Christ Lutheran Church last weekend. It was a “food-raiser” event for the local food bank, and I was able to enjoy my first movie night out with my little Tympist, age 6. I very much enjoyed the movie as well. Odessa Food Bank director Merleen Smith says the continuing support of the Food Bank by the local community is helping many low-income residents eat healthier. “We now have plenty of brown grocery bags,” she says, “but currently the items most needed are boxed cereals, canned fruit, boxed meals such as hamburger helper, spaghetti noodles and sauce, peanut butter, soups and canned vegetables.
