    The O-H Titan boys ended their bid for hardware at the state 1B basketball tournament on Friday at the Spokane Arena. On the first day of the tournament, March 1, the Titans defeated Chief Kitsap Academy by a score of 53-47. The win put them up against ACH the next day. A loss to ACH Thursday and another loss to Muckelshoot Tribal Academy on Friday sent the boys home. All of the games were hotly contested and close.     Wes Morris was born March 30, 1946, and entered into rest on February 23, 2017. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. As a child, he and his family would spend entire summers moving from one campground to the next in search of adventure. He graduated from Wilbur High Sschool in 1964, where he was a drummer in the band, and carried his love for music throughout his life.     Lynn Geissler passed away February 27, 2017, in Spokane. His home was in Davenport. He was born November 8, 1951 in Spokane to Echo and Phyllis Geissler. He was a lifetime resident of Davenport, where he attended school and graduated from Davenport High School in 1970. He went on to attend college in Spokane for a short time before returning to Davenport.     Marlin The Marlin Gun Club finished the season last Sunday, March 5, with awards, fun games and a meal of prime rib and cheesy potatoes. Members also contributed potluck dishes to the meal. Winners were announced for each of the seven classes of shooters. Classes reflect the accuracy level of the shooters based on the percentage of targets hit over time.     Emmitt D. Cain passed away February 24, 2017. He was born July 25, 1957 to Emmitt L. and Flossie Cain. He was raised with wheat and cattle in Hooper, Wash. He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1975. He attended Washington State University, where he was a beloved AGR brother. Farming was always Emmitt’s calling.     In the 1B boys portion of the Hardwood Classic played last week at the Spokane Arena, Sunnyside Christian won the championship game over Lummi Nation. ACH took third place, Yakama Nation Tribal was fourth, Pomeroy fifth and Muckleshoot Tribal sixth. The girls 1B teams saw Republic take the top spot, defeating the ACH girls in the final game.
