Virginia Esther Parn, 91, a longtime Hoquiam area resident, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was born June 18, 1922, in Odessa, Wash., to Jacob P. and Katherine (Lenhart) Weizel
Virginia was raised on the family farm between Odessa and Ritzville. She attended school and graduated from high school in Odessa and then the Eastern Washington University in Cheney, where she earned her degree in Education.
Virginia taught at Central Elementary and Lincoln Elementary Schools in Hoquiam until she retired in the mid-1970s.
