Kathy M. Scrupps

Kathy Scrupps died December 24, 2013, in Odessa.

She was born April 6, 1955 in San Francisco to Timothy and Shirley Calnan.

Kathy is survived by her husband Jay Scrupps at the home; three sons, Walter (and Chris) Barry, Chris (and Amber) Scrupps and Ryan (and Kelsey) Scrupps; along with five grandchildren, Brynne, Kade, Brielle, Gavin and Alma; her mother Shirley Calnan; brother Casey (and Yvonne) Calnan; four sisters, Teri (and Ben) Reihl, Shelley (and Matt) Severson, Mary Burns and Marvalee (and Stephen) Anderson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Timothy Calnan and her brother Tim Calnan.

Kathy worked for Inland Power and Light for 12 years, attended Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa, sang as a member of the Crab Creek Gospel Group and was member of the Lincoln County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Board and the Washinton Association of Wheat Growers.

She enjoyed singing, crossword and Sudoku puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved harvest, driving combine and was the farm's bookkeeper. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping, but her family, grandchildren and friends were most important to Kathy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 3 at 12 noon at the Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa, with Pastor Tim Hauge officiating. The family suggests memorials be made in Kathy's name to the Union Gospel Mission in Spokane, Christ Lutheran Church or the Heritage Church, both in Odessa.

Please sign the online guestbook at http://www.stratefuneralhome.com. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport is caring for the family.
