INCIDENT LOG

Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, Feb. 3: A Davenport woman told dispatchers she believes she lost her wedding ring at either the local Safeway store or middle school.

A Davenport woman reported the loss of a purse near Reardan.

A man was arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident in the 700 block of Marshall Street in Davenport.

A deputy was summoned after a student at Davenport Elementary School was described by staff as "violent" and in "need of assistance." The student was taken home. Two days later, the juvenile became "unruly" in the lunchroom and was expelled from school.

An alarm sounded at a residence on Kramer Farms Road south of Harrington after the wind apparently blew open the front door.

Tuesday, Feb. 4: A wire was discovered in the roadway on SR 25 about five miles north of Davenport.

An alarm sounded at K&L Chevron in Sprague, but responding personnel discovered that everything "looked secure" at the scene.

A fire at a residence in the 300 block of East Walnut in Sprague was contained to the attic.

A 40-year-old man reportedly broke his leg in a pressure tank explosion in the Wilbur area.

After his release from a Spokane hospital, a 19-year-old man jumped from a moving vehicle as it traveled through Reardan, prompting a search by relatives and deputies that failed to locate him.

A Reardan woman reported a 20-year-old man had broken a fence and slept in a doghouse before requesting a ride to Waterville from personnel at the Presbyterian Church.

Wednesday, Feb. 5: A caller reported a pickup truck was "spinning brodies" in the Odessa school bus parking lot near the football field.

Wind set off a burglar alarm at a residence along SR 23 in the Harrington area.

Deputies investigated a possible theft incident involving a patient at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

After Davenport Family Dentistry personnel reported receiving two insufficient funds checks for $350, a deputy secured a promise that the fees would be properly paid.

Thursday, Feb. 6: Deputies investigated a possible harassment incident involving two boys riding a Harrington school bus.

In separate incidents, personnel from Davenport Building Supply and Davenport Pharmacy reported receiving insufficient funds checks.

Friday, Feb. 7: Weather concerns prompted a two-hour delay in the start of classes at Sprague Schools.

Dispatched to the 1000 block of Park Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 64-year-old woman who had vomited blood.

A vehicle became stuck in a field near the intersection of SR 2 and Mountain View Cemetery Road west of Davenport.

Sunday, Feb. 9: A caller reported suspicious activity may have been occurring at a boarded-up house with smoke appearing to come from the chimney in the 200 block of NW Watson Street in Creston.

A deputy assisted a young man who was found semi-conscious on the floor of an Edwall residence, possibly from a drug overdose.

Feb. 4: Danay L. Rupp, 52, Ford, held five days under contract with City of Airway Heights.

Feb. 5: Garion D. Herrold, 22, Spokane, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) for failing to appear on a violation of a no-contact order.

Feb. 6: Nathan E. Eldred, 36, Wellpinit, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear on two counts of possession of methamphetamine.

Dylan E. Timpani, 25, Moses Lake, arrested by LCSO for theft of a motor vehicle (three counts), second-degree burglary (two counts) and third-degree theft.

Feb. 8: Gloria M. Mathyer, 50, Twisp, Wash., arrested by LCSO for driving while license suspended, obstructing a law enforcement officer and failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

Michael J. Fantasia, 29, Springdale, arrested by LCSO for driving while license suspended and no ignition interlock as ordered.

Feb. 10: Michael J. Petty, 54, Creston, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for fourth-degree assault, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, no valid operator's license and third-degree theft.

A 16-year-old Davenport girl is charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) in connection with a Jan. 22 incident involving her younger brother. At the time, she was under the court's jurisdiction for these charges filed in 2013: malicious mischief (domestic violence), criminal trespass and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

Kenneth Virgil Peone, Ford, driving while license suspended, dismissed at prosecutor's request because the State was unable to obtain adequate information from the Department of Licensing for this nearly four-year-old case.

Monica Lara, Odessa, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and interfering with reporting domestic violence, both dismissed at prosecutor's request because the State has been unable to contact the alleged victim in time to meet requirements of a Feb. 26 trial date. The prosecutor may reopen the case within the remaining 28-day speedy trial period this action preserves.
