The Odessa-Harrington Titans ended their season and their hopes for a State 1B tournament berth at the regional, loser-out game against Three Rivers Christian of Kelso, 53-46, played at Ellensburg High School last Saturday. The Titans end their season with a 16-8 record.

Three Rivers Christian players were hot from three-point range, hitting 6 of 9 shots, while the Titans struggled to hit just 4 of 22 from the 3-point line for only 18.2 percent accuracy.

TRC also outrebounded the Titans 37-28.

Titan head coach Travis Schuh put on more defensive pressure in the fourth period, outscoring TRC, but it was too little, too late.

The Titans managed to narrow the score to four points at 50-46 on a three-point shot sunk by Madison Charlton. TRC came back with their own three-pointer and held on for the win.

Shane Whitaker led the Titans with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Madison Charlton had 11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal; Sam Schafer 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals; Jacob DeWulf 7 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal; Carsen Weber 4 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals; Colt Sanford and Trevor King had 1 rebound each. Dakota Largent also saw playing time.

"We wanted to at least trap them a little bit; we didn't think they'd handle the ball that well under pressure," Schuh said. "But we didn't hit enough shots to get back in it and we didn't attack their zone like we needed to."
