Tribute; Howard W. Kramer

Howard Kramer died peacefully on March 25, 2014, in Kirkland, Wash. at the age of 93.

He was a longtime resident of Odessa until he moved to Kirkland in 2007 to be closer to family. He was born in Dryden to John and Anna (Weber) Kramer. He married Lola Retz in 1952 in Odessa. Howard was an X-ray technician for many years at Odessa Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by daughter Gail (and Ron) Schroder of Kirkland, son Steve Kramer (and partner Ray Krisor) of Seattle and grandson Gavin Schroder of Kirkland. He is also survived by brother George Kramer and sisters Edna Deichl and Olga Browning, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Lola Kramer.

Howard was a kind, quiet, gentle man who maintained his sense of humor and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Graveside services were held in Odessa March 29, with Father Kenneth St. Hilaire officiating. Memorials in Howard’s name may be made to Odessa’s St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
