Statewide 911 outage lasted for nine hours on April 10th

An alert issued by the Grant County Sheriff's Office on April 10 indicated that 911 lines were not working. Grant County citizens were advised to call 509-762-1160 or 888-431-9911 for emergency help in Grant County.

The state E911 office reported a major, nearly total 911 outage in the state of Washington that occurred just after 1 a.m. on April 10, 2014. The office is actively engaged with CenturyLink in working on the problem. Initially, there was no estimated time frame for restoring 911 services.
