The Odessa-Harrington track and field teams found success last weekend at the state 1A/2B/1B tournament held at Eastern Washington University May 30/31. Out of 32 1B teams, the O-H girls finished in fourth place and boys in fifth place, with individual first-place finishes for Sam Schafer on the boys' team and for the two girls' relay teams.
Boys
In both the 100 meters and 200 meters, Odessa junior Sam Schafer took two firsts in times of 11.51 and 22.83, respectively. He also nabbed a third place in the long jump at 20-07.50 and a third in the triple jump at 40-05.75.
