The Titan basketball team had a tough time against a much taller Lind-Ritzville-Sprague team at home in Odessa last Friday, losing 42-69. The game does not count in league play, however, since LRS is a 2B school, while Odessa-Harrington is in a 1B league.

Carsen Weber paced the Titans with 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Sam Schafer and Dakota Largent had 6 points each, with Schafer getting 2 rebounds and 6 steals and Largent getting 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal. Colton Hunt added 4 points, and 2 rebounds to the stats.

Three players each contributed 2 points to the effort, Colt Sanford, Shane Whitaker and John DeWulf. Sanford also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal; Whitaker 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal and DeWulf 2 rebounds and 3 steals. Steven Braun and Brad Johnston scored no points, but Braun contributed 1 rebound.

Unlike last week, foul trouble was not a problem for the Titans, as no one on the Titan team had more than 2 fouls. Overall, it was a well-played game with the Titans struggling only to overcome the height disadvantage.

Against Wellpinit at a home game played in Harrington Saturday, the Titans were able to get their first win of the season and first league victory by a score of 68-52.
