Titan girls get one win, one loss in weekend play

The January 16 game against Cusick was an away game won by the Titan girls, 51-47.

Lanessa Simon scored 15 points to lead the Titan offense. She also had 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Shelbey Watkins was right behind Simon with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals. Paige Alloway scored 7 points and had 1 assist. Katie DeWulf also scored 7 points and had 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Jordyn Tanke had 4 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Casey Schlomer had 3 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Maleah Davison scored 1 point and had 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

Republic

Against Republic Saturday night in Odessa, the Titan girls struggled mightily, but succumbed to the Republic Tigers, 42-62.

The Titans got off to a slow start in the first quarter. At one point in the second half, however, the girls were able to come within eight points of the opposing team's score. They were unable to maintain that same pace, however, and the Tigers widened their lead again in the fourth quarter.

Tanke was high scorer for O-H with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Watkins had 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. DeWulf scored 5 points and had 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Alloway got 4 points, 1 assist and 2 steals. Schlomer had 3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Simon also had 3 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals
