Lions Club continues its work on public restroom

Members of the Odessa Lions Club have been working every weekend of late to install a new public restroom on the west side of the public works building downtown. Some of the latest efforts include digging up and replacing sewer and water lines that were found to be in less than optimum condition. The Record's report of February 19, stating that work was expected to be finished by the end of March, was most probably a far too optimistic estimate of the time involved.

The project is still accepting volunteers if anyone is interested in helping. Contact any Lions Club member for more information.

The Record also erred in reporting that the club meets once per month. They meet twice each month on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month for dinner at the Old Town Hall.
