Account set up for helping Zagelow family with costs

On June 30, Odessa rural resident Larry D. Zagelow was injured in a single-car accident that took place 17 miles northwest of Odessa, according to the Washington State Patrol. The report by law enforcement stated that the vehicle was southbound on State Route 21 at milepost 73 when it drove off the right shoulder, rolling several times before coming to rest on the west side of roadway.

Zagelow was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center via the MedStar helicopter. He has remained in the intensive-care unit and has undergone several surgeries to treat his injuries, according to friends of the Zagelow family, Stan and Debby Dammel.

The Dammels have been in contact with Zagelow’s son Jeff Zagelow and have established a bank account at the Odessa branch of Washington Federal Bank where anyone wishing to donate money to help the family pay for medical expenses may do so. Checks should be made out to “Jeff Zagelow FBO Larry Zagelow” (FBO = for the benefit of) and mailed to Washington Federal Bank, P.O. Box 219, Odessa WA 99159. Cash donations can also be deposited directly into the account by going to the bank branch located at 105 W. First Avenue in Odessa.

Jeff Zagelow will be handling all family contacts with the public, as Larry’s wife June has been spending every possible moment at her husband’s hospital bedside.
