John DeWulf, Colton Hunt, Dylan Shockley and Sage Elder display some of the awards handed out at the 2015-16 football awards banquet.
Three Titan players, Katie DeWulf (12), Casey Schlomer (30) and Brenna Carstensen (10), fought hard in a tough loss to Wilbur/Creston last Saturday night in Odessa.
The Odessa High School pep band was in fine form at Saturday night's basketball game in the high school gym under the direction of Craig Holman.
The 2015 varsity football awards banquet was held last Thursday evening, December 3, and with eight awards there was plenty of reason to celebrate.
Sage Elder took home four of the eight awards: Mr. Football, the Gale Martin Award and the 1st Team All Conference Awards for linebacker and running back. The other two 1st Team All Conference Awards went to Gaven Elder as a defensive back and John DeWulf as an offensive lineman. DeWulf also won the Thunderbolt Player of the Year award. The Titan Award went to Dylan Shockley, who also was awarded 1st Team All Conference honorable mention as a tight end. The Iron Man Award was awarded to Colton Hunt and Most Improved went to Cole Kissler.
Congratulations Titans on a great football season. I'm already looking forward to the 2016-17 year.
