Titans lose three in last week's league games

The Odessa-Harrington Titans had another tough loss Tuesday, January 12, when they played an away conference game against Wellpinit.

The Wellpinit Redskins seemed determined to take the lead and not give any ground to the Titans. By the end of the first quarter, the score was 22-11 and the Redskins weren’t about to slow down.

Colton Hunt led in scoring for Odessa-Harrington with 21 points (two of them three-point shots), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and a block. Colt Sanford scored 13 points, had three rebounds, and one assist. Dylan Shockley had eight points (six of them three-point shots), one rebound, one assist and one block. Jayd Jennings and William Mann each had their turn at the net with two points apiece. Jennings also had three rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Mann had four rebounds. Lane Lobe had one point and one block.

On the weekend (January 15/16), the OH boys varsity basketball team lost both of their scheduled conference games.

The first loss was by 10 points to Inchelium in a home game played at Harrington.

Hunt again led the Titans with a double-double, scoring 25 points (three of them three-point shots) and getting 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks. Shockley had 16 points (12 three-pointers), two rebounds, one assist and three steals, followed closely by Sanford who had 12 points, five rebounds and two assists. Jennings had six points, five assists and three steals, while Lobe had two points and a steal.

The game Saturday against Selkirk was a close one with the Titans losing by only one point.

Finding themselves down by 13 at the half, the Titans came back with determination in the third, scoring 20 points to Inchelium’s 10. Down by only three going into the fourth quarter, they scored another 10 points, but it just wasn’t enough. They fell short by one point.

Sanford led the Titan scoring with 13 points, nine rebounds and a block. Hunt had 10 points, four rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block. Jennings had eight points, five rebounds, four assists, five steals, and Shockley had seven points, one rebound and two assists.
