Presidential primary May 24

Ballots for the May 24, 2016 Presidential Primary Election were mailed on May 4, 2016 to Lincoln County voters. Lincoln County precincts are entirely vote by mail.

If you have not received your ballot by May 12, please contact the Auditor’s Office at 725-4971 or 1-800-725-3031.

You may notice that the return envelopes for the Presidential Primary have a new look and are now flapless. In the upcoming August Primary some voters will still receive some of the tear-off flap envelopes, as we will be using the remaining balance of our stock. After the August Primary, we will join with the other Washington counties, and all return envelopes will be flapless. This change will save money and improve processing efficiency in the elections department. The previous tear-off flap envelopes were $.14 each, whereas the flapless envelope we have designed costs only $.07 each. With almost 7,000 ballots mailed for countywide elections, the savings add up quickly.

Drop box sites will be available at the following locations until 8 p.m. election night:

o East side of building – drive-up drop box

o Elections desk in the Auditor’s Office – drop box

Harrington City Hall, 11 S. 3rd Street, Harrington

If you prefer to mail your ballot, remember to affix first class postage and assure that it is postmarked by May 24.
