The Odessa Record -

Area hiring issues are subject of county survey

September 28, 2017

(Davenport, WA, Sept. 22, 2017) Employers in Lincoln County are finding it increasingly difficult to fill open positions within their businesses and organizations, adding to the challenges already at play in the rural business arena. The Lincoln County Economic Development Council (EDC) and WSU Extension want to help find solutions, but first they need to know the specific issues that employers are facing.

All Lincoln County employers are asked to take an anonymous 10-question multiple choice survey that examines how serious the problem is, how employers deal with a lack of applicants, how the problem impacts products or services, why existing employees leave and what employee training and education barriers are faced.

The survey is available on the EDC website at http://www.LincolnEDC.org. Click on the yellow tab labeled Business Survey to access the SurveyMonkey link. It is also posted on the EDC Facebook page (lincolncountyedc). The aggregate results will be shared with the public and will be used by the EDC and WSU Extension to direct their efforts. Please help them by taking a few moments to take the survey.
