Football

The Tigers shut out the visiting Pateros Billy Goats by a score of 77-0 Friday night, October 6, at Finney Field.

Starting quarterback Camden Weber opened up the scoring on a 49-yard QB keeper to put six points on the board. Gaven Elder made the two-point conversion on a pass play from Weber. Backup QB Jett Nelson scored next, also keeping the ball and going 44 yards for the TD. Colton Hunt made the two-point conversion on a pass from Nelson. Hunt then scored six on a 47-yard pass play from Nelson, and Nelson also kicked the ball for the extra point.

Elder then scored the next two TDs, one from 10 yards out at the end of the first quarter and the other from 56 yards out to open the second-quarter scoring. Both extra-point conversion attempts failed, however. Hunt scored on a10-yard pass from Nelson, but again the kick for the extra point was no good. Marcus King scored on a 29-yard run to close out the scoring in the first half. The conversion attempt failed.

After half-time, the Tigers pretty much sealed the fate of the Billy Goats when Pilot Weishaar intercepted a pass and ran it back 60 yards for a touchdown. Hunt ran the ball for the two-point conversion. Elder ran 34 yards for the next score, and Brady Walter got the two-point conversion on a pass from Nelson that ended the third-quarter scoring.

In the fourth quarter, Walter ran 10 yards for the TD, then carried again for the two-point conversion. Walter also made the final score of the game on a 26-yard run. The extra-point kick attempt was unsuccessful.
