Singer gets promotion

Newly minted Sergeant Roland Singer accepts his promotion with a handshake from Lincoln County Sheriff Wade Magers.

Sheriff Wade W. Magers announced the promotion of Deputy Roland Singer to the position of Lincoln County Sergeant. Sergeant Singer will begin his new duties effective November 1, 2017.

Singer and his wife Jennifer reside in Odessa and have made their home there for 21 years. They have three children Caleb, Bradly and Macey.

He has been a Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy for 11 years and a detective for the past three years. Sergeant Singer will have a several responsibilities, ranging from investigations, scheduling, doing employee evaluations and managing a road deputy crew responsible for covering almost 2,350 square miles in Lincoln County.

"I congratulate Roland on his promotion and know his skill set, personality and common sense have prepared him for his new responsibilities and duties," said Magers.
