Tigers to play semi-final game Saturday in Pasco

The Tiger football team handily defeated the Garfield-Palouse Vikings last Friday in a quarter-final game played in Royal City.

Quarterback Camden Weber completed eight out of 10 passing attempts for 158 yards in the air and two touchdowns. He also added 172 yards rushing and two touchdowns to his activities for the night.

Gaven Elder carried 20 times for 98 yards rushing and two TDs, while adding two receptions for 67 yards and another TD. Colton Hunt carried 17 times for 161 yards and two TDs, plus one reception for nine yards. Marcus King caught four passes for 58 yards. Joshua Clark caught one pass for 24 yards and a TD.

On defense, Elder and Hunt led the team with seven solo tackles each, plus two and one assist(s), respectively. Clark had six solo tackles and two assists. Tim DeWulf managed one QB sack.

The Tigers will now play Sunnyside Christian at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco in a semi-final game on Saturday, November 25 at 4 p.m. The other semi-final game will pit Almira-Coulee-Hartline against Lummi in a game also to be played Saturday at 1 p.m. in Bellingham.

The winners of the two semi-final games will face off in the championship game that will be held in the Tacoma Dome on December 1 at 4 p.m.
