Varsity wins, JV gets split in last two games

The two most recent basketball games for the juniork-high girls were played against Wilbur-Creston on December 7 and against Reardan on December 11.

The varsity squad won both of its games, defeating W-C by a score of 34-6 and Reardan by a score of 37-28, while the junior varsity settled for a split, defeating W-C, 25-20 and losing to Reardan, 16-25.

According to James Poe, who supplied the scores to The Record, the Reardan JV game was very close right up to the last couple of minutes of play. Odessa was forced to foul the Reardan players in order to get possession of the ball, but the Reardan team refused to miss its foul shots and racked up several more points at the foul line prior to the final buzzer.

The junior-high girls play their final game of the season at Liberty High School today, December 14, at 4 p.m.
