Arthur Ralph Schuh

Arthur Schuh passed away December 18, 2017 in Davenport. He made his home in Harrington.
He was born December 1, 1927 in Ruff to Reinhold and Katherine (Dormaier) Schuh. He grew up in the Harrington/Odessa area, graduating from Harrington High School in 1946. A skilled shortstop, he played for the Harrington baseball town team. He married Carol Kiehn, on June 5, 1949, in Ritzville, and together they built a life on the family wheat farm.
Art was a former member and president of the Harrington Golf and Country Club. He found pleasure in the simple things and was fond of hunting, fishing, golfing and driving tractor. An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed cheering for the Gonzaga basketball team, the Golden State Warriors, the Seattle Seahawks and the Mariners. Savoring retired life with his wife, supporting his grandchildren in their athletic endeavors and spending time with his family mattered most to him.
Art is survived by his three children Jeanette (Dick) Oenning, Dennis Schuh and Nancy Albertus; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Art is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years Carol Schuh; grandson Noah Albertus; brothers Lawrence, Donald and Robert Schuh and sister Lorraine Holderby.
He will lie in state at the Strate Funeral Home in Davenport on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa.
