Trapshooting: Week two

Shooting continued on January 14 in the Inland Northwest Trapshoot competition, sponsored by the Spokesman Review newspaper of Spokane.

The Marlin and Odessa clubs combine their scores for the purposes of the competition.

Marlin Gun Club

This weeks turn-out of 64 participants for the Marlin Gun Club was only slightly less impressive than last week’s turn-out on opening day (72 participants).

Shooting perfect scores of 25 were Rich Swanson, T.J. Main, Mark Edwins, Mark Iksic, Bill James, Dan Asker and Austin Nelson.

Jakob Starkel and Corey Shearer were the only two members to shoot 24, while Dave Lang, Cody Vandeweghe, Cody Follett, Daryl Kimble, Dusty Kimble, Shelby Brashear, Jim Schell and Scott Mortimer all shot 23.

Shooting 22 were Tina Wentworth, Jan Jensen, Mark Vandeweghe, Brett Ottmar, Doug Brashear, Doug Starkel, Carmen Eckhart, Dave Asker and Mike French and shooting 21 were Rob Imbert, Jim Imbert, Noel Bowden and Kaden Johnson.

In the 21 and under catagory were Dennis Klemmer, Charlene Krause, Jon Hettigh, Tyson Visker, Jeff Norley, Kevin Myre, Jessie True, Josh Gray, Taeven Brashear, Landon Ribail, Hagen Nelson, Brooke Bonaudi, Mark Brashear, Dakota McAfee, Kass Kimble, Jeff Wade, Ken Eckhart, Susan James, Haley Wade, Garrett Johnson, Ron Lesser, Brent Finkbeiner, Davey McMillan, Tyson Decker, Tori Decker, Brian Finkbeiner, Matt Mortimer, Gage Starkel, Jon Wade, Ken Thompson, Larry Pardon, Paul Bowden, Faith Bowden and Travis Shearer.

High Handicap winners were Doug Starkel and Jim Imbert with 23, Jan Jensen and Kevin Myre with 22.

High Doubles went to Cody Follett with 49 and Miss-N-Out went to Cody Vandeweghe.

Odessa Gun Club

January 7

The Odessa Gun Club results for opening day of the competition that missed the reporting deadline are given here, followed by the results for week two.

No one shot 24 or 25.

Ryan Lewis, Landon Lobe, Lane Lobe, Colley Walter all shot 23.

Shooting 22 were Garrett Braun, Jared Praetorious, Colton Hunt, Brandon Larmer and Daeton Deife.

Josh Hauck and Nick Tebow both shot 21.

Falling in the under 21 category were Nathan Luck, Trevor Smith, Brian Wraspir, Doug Tebow, Cody Larmer, Jordan Larmer, Jenny Larmer, Tucker Walter and Nathan Melcher.

No High Handicap, High Doubles or Miss-N-Out scores were listed.

The lone high shooter for the January 14 Odessa Gun Club was Brady Gies, who shot 24.

Shooting 23 were Jim Smith, Brian Wraspir, Doug Tebow and Traig Weishaar.

Tyler Smith, Lane Lobe and Marcus King all shot 22, while Brandon Larmer shot 21.

Nathan Melcher, Trevor Smith, Nathan Luck, Travis Geissler, Garrett Braun, Landon Lobe, Daeton Deife, Cody Larmer, Deric Schmierer, Colley Walter, Pilot Weishaar, Colton Hunt, Curtis Weber, Jon Fink, Leslie Gies, Stan Dammel, Levi Weber and Bill Weber all shot 20 and under.

Josh Hauck won the High Handicap contest, Brady Gies the High Doubles. The Miss-N-Out award went to Colley Walter, Annie Oakley to Traig Weishaar and Bushwacker to Trevor Smith.
