On April 17, the Tigers played Wilbur-Creston in a double-header at home.

In game #1, the Tigers started out a little slow, as W-C grabbed a two-run lead in the first inning before Odessa pulled one run ahead in the second. In the fourth, however, Tiger bats came alive, scoring 11 runs, while the Wildcats’ score remained at two. They picked up one more run in the fifth for a final score of 14-3 in favor of Odessa.

Going all the way as pitcher in game #1 was Tim DeWulf, who threw 83 pitches, striking out six and walking six, while allowing three runs on four hits.
