Lois Marie Hemmerling

Lois Marie Hemmerling passed away June 2, 2018 in Spokane at the age of 92. She was born to Dorothea and Howard Gibford in Missoula, Mont. on June 30, 1925. Lois was a member of the Odessa Palettes and Cannawai Grange.

She is survived by her children Bonita (David) Bury, Beverly James, Beth (Steve) Melville, David (Betty) Hemmerling, Manny (Cindy) Hemmerling and Linda Elliott, along with 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as one sister Shirley Hagen, two brothers Ron Gibford and Bill (Kathy) Gibford, one brother-in-law Bob (Casey) Hemmerling and two special extended family members: Aram and Margie Langhams.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Ivan, her parents, brother Clayton, sisters Darleen Hubbard, Betty Moore and Judy Baker. Special care was provided by the nurses, aides and activity persons who gave mom extra special love and attention during her two years at Royal Park Care Center. Horizon Hospice also provided loving care.

Inurnment will be held at the Odessa Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the Heritage Church in Odessa at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Jon Hayashi officiating on June 23, 2018. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at http://www.stratefuneralhome.com for the Hemmerling family.
