    ODESSA — Voters approved Hospital District No. 1 Proposition No. 1 in the Aug. 5 primary election, continuing funding for essential healthcare services. The levy, which passed with 73.33% of the vote, authorizes the district to collect $981,190 in 2026 at an estimated rate of $3.02 per $1,000 of assessed property value.     DAVENPORT — Voters got their first look at primary results Tuesday night as ballots were tallied in the city’s three-way council race. Michael Strite leads in the race for Davenport City Council Position No. 1 with 54.88% of the vote, according to preliminary results from the Aug. 5 primary election.     SPRAGUE — A long-time resident emerged as the early frontrunner in the race for Sprague mayor, according to preliminary primary election results posted Tuesday, Aug. 5. Lucas Becker leads with 51.49% of the vote, followed by incumbent Scooter Dearing with 35.64%. Trace De Garmo trailed with 11.88%.     DAVENPORT — Preliminary results from Lincoln County’s Aug. 5 primary election show several candidates leading their races and strong voter support for a hospital levy, with final certification scheduled for Aug. 19. As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, 1,731 ballots were tallied out of 8,756 registered voters across 46 precincts, for a turnout of 19.77%. Approximately 100 ballots remain to be counted.
