Michael B. (Mike) Walter passed away March 6, 2015 in Wenatchee, Wash. following an auto accident. Mike was born on April 12, 1955 in Odessa; he grew up in Odessa and attended school there graduating in 1971. After graduation he went to work for Odessa Union Warehouse. He married Tracy Pfeifer on Aug 1, 1981 in Odessa, and to this union they had two daughters Blayne and Taylor.

He was a professional bull rider and attended many rodeos over the years. He joined the Ironworkers Union Local #14 in the early 1980s and recently received his 35-year service award. He was a member of the North Idaho Saddle Mule Club, American Quarter Horse Association and many pro rodeo associations. He worked for the Dix Corporation for the last 25 years on jobs all over the country. Mike raised registered quarter horses and enjoyed horses, mules and general outdoor activities. He loved spending time with friends and family and especially his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife Tracy Walter at the home, two daughters Blayne (and Ty) Albertson and Taylor Walter and his two grandchildren Layton and Emersyn Albertson, his brother Tom Walter and sisters Christy Blue and Jaylene Walter along with step mother Cathy Anderson. Mike has several nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Walter in 1971.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Odessa Community Center with Pastor Tim Hauge officiating.
