Meises wed 70 years; celebration on Nov. 12

On November 2, 2016, Earl and Ramona Meise will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. While Earl served in the U.S. Navy, they lived at Whidbey Island Naval Base, then moved to Ritzville and eventually to Odessa. Earl worked for Suchland Chevrolet and the Odessa Grange Supply Company. After retirement he joined Ramona as a van driver for the People to People transport service. Ramona worked throughout the years at The Cookhouse and Pastime Tavern, performed chore services and then drove for People to People until she retired.

Earl and Ramona have three children: Chuck Meise, Marty (and Wendy) Meise and (Gary and) Kristi Finck, all of Odessa. Their grandchildren are Lance and Tara Meise, Brandon and Kayla Meise, Jena Meise, Shannon (and Jon) Hodge and Joel Finck. They have eight great grandchildren: Taylor, Jaden, Darien, Michael, Ruger, Myakoda, Alexis and Drake.

Earl and Ramona now call Quail Court in Odessa their home. Cards of congratulations will reach them there at P.O. Box 188, Apt. 2, Odessa WA 99159. A celebration of their anniversary for their family and friends will be held at Any Occasion Banquet Hall in Odessa on November 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.
