Lions Club awards contest prizes

The home of Tammy Carlson Tokas was judged by Odessa Lions Club members as worthy of the first prize in the residential lighting contest sponsored each year by the club. Decorations cover her yard, house and trees.

The holiday lighting contest in Odessa was sponsored once again this year by the local Lions Club. Last Friday, club members viewed the houses throughout town whose residents had taken the time and effort to put up displays of colorful lights and figures prior to the holiday.

The club awarded only two prizes this year, with first place going to Tammy Carlson Tokas on east Fourth Avenue and second place going to Pete and Lisa Martin who live on Eighth Avenue.
