Linda Reiman Hopkins Mccary McCray

Linda Reiman Hopkins Mccary McCray, age 76, entered into rest on December 18, 2016, at Hospice in Ocala, Fla. She was born February 26, 1940 to Ros and Neva Reiman in Pendleton, Ore.

She attended elementary school in Odessa and in 1953 began to attend Holy Names Academy in Spokane, returning to Odessa to graduate from high school in 1958.

She was retired from the state of Florida Department of Financial Services as an insurance specialist. Later in life, she went back to college and obtained a B.A. in psychology and English from St. Leo's College in St. Leo's, Fla., then obtained an M.A. in mental health counseling from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, followed by an M.S. in criminal justice with a specialty track in behavioral science, also from Nova University. Over the years, she worked as a paralegal, physician's assistant, mental health counselor, owned a masonry company and an art gallery. Her husband Doug works as a teacher for the Florida Dept. of Corrections.

Linda is survived by her daughter Susan Hopkins (Stanley Mills), Steven Hopkins (Kimberly Hopkins), Michael Hopkins and Hamp Mccary. Survivors also include her brother Michael Reiman (Penni Reiman), her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ros and Neva Reiman, sister Rose Reiman and granddaughter Ashley Nicole Hopkins.
