New grads qualify for more than $600,000 in scholarships

Scholarships, many of them from local companies and individuals, to the Odessa High School graduating class of 2017 totaled $632,634.08. Several graduates received full academic or athletic scholarships to colleges and universities near and far.

Aaron Gies received the Christ Lutheran Church Faith in Life Award. He plans to attend Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake next fall.

Alayna Watkins received the Miss Wilbur community scholarship (prior to transferring to Odessa High School). She plans to attend Charter College.
