The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in more than 180 countries. Anyone, anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event. One-hour tutorials are available in over 45 languages. No experience is needed. The program is aimed at anyone from age 4 to 104. This year, 103,226 events have been registered throughout the world for Hour of Code.

The computer science students at Odessa High School will host an Hour of Code next Tuesday from 3:15 to 4:14 p.m. in the science room at the high school. The school will be a busy place that day with basketball games taking place in the gym. But science instructor Jeff Wehr says, “All people of all ages are welcome. We know it will be hard for adults to make it, but there are basketball games all week, so we are hoping to get those parents and students that might be coming to the game to come a little early.”
