First buttercup of 2018

Fifth-grader Holden Iverson, son of Brenik and Kamie Iverson of Odessa, found the first buttercup of 2018 in the Odessa area. Father and son were on top of the south hill near the large, lit "O" when Holden spotted the single yellow blossom against all of the dried vegetation around it.
